Students begin by drawing a plaster cast or still life in charcoal, developing their ability to render accurate proportions and value relationships. As students progress, they are introduced to the fundamentals of oil and/or pastel techniques, composition and color.

3-Day Workshop with Stacy Andrews Inglorion
In the workshop, day one will explain the composition of the pencil, how to work through a heavy hand, our stance, and exercises to building skill. This will include pressure, line quality, and line distance among others. Days two and three will continue review of these while practicing a sphere with a smooth shading technique. While working on the sphere, there will be a quick overview of what happens in light and shadow on objects.
Ages 13 and up. Please register in advance.
