Scott Lloyd Anderson

Scott's previous career as a magazine art director greatly informs his art. For the past 22 years, he has participated in many plein-air events and exhibitions across the country, winning a few along the way. His art has been featured in national magazines like Southwest Art, Plein Air, American Art Collector, and Art Aficionado. “I love the honesty of painting outdoors from nature.” Scott says, “A plein air painting is like a musical performance recorded live.” This past winter, he exhibited 34 of his paintings of snowmen, or snowfolk as he calls them, at Zeller Studio in Hopkins. He finished the show with a workshop on painting snow. He presently teaches oil painting at the Edina Art Center and Minnetonka Center for the Arts, as well as his own independent workshops.
