Kimberley Monahan Dady, Full Time Instructor at The Atelier, began drawing and painting at a young age with constant encouragement and critique from her artistic mother. She attended The Minneapolis Technical Institute and completed a two year program in Commercial Art. Kim then went on to work in advertising for Jerry's grocery stores and freelanced in fashion illustration and portraiture. While raising her two children, she discovered The Minnesota River School of Burnsville, MN, taking many evening classes and soon she was asked to teach there as well. In 2002, Kim entered the Studio Program of Fine Art at The Atelier and completed her full time studies in 2006. She was asked to join the full time program core instructors after graduation and continues to do so presently. In 2010, Kim realized another artistic passion as a Western artist. She has been accepted in to the Charlie Russell Western Art Auction for the last ten years. Native American scenes are most inspiring to her. Her paintings hang in collections throughout the US.
