Jim Bailey, a native Minnesotan, studied figure drawing with James Childs in 1972 and also attended Atelier Lack Studio School of Fine Art studying drawing from Richard Lack, Stephen Gjertson, and etching from Daniel Graves. Jim has exhibited at the Minneapolis Art Institute,the Russell Museum in Great Falls Montana,the Landmark Center St. Paul,the Minnesota State Fair, and various galleries. His work is represented in private collections throughout the country. In 1976-77, Jim taught etching at Atelier Lack and has continued teaching private classes in drawing, etching and dry point at his own studio and gallery in Minneapolis.
