James Shoop has been a professional sculptor since 1983. He first started sculpting at his family's foundry, American Bronze Casting. In 1993, James studied in New York at The Art Students League, The National Academy, and The New York Academy of Art, concentrating on sculpture figure study. Currently he has taught several ecorche sculpting classes at The Atelier Full Time Program and his figurative work has been selected by The Art Renewal Center 2009-10 Salon and "Spectrum" fantasy art #14, 16, and 17.
